Michael Kors Jet Set Perforated Travel Tote

Bag crush alert!

What's with pink that attracts my attention so much?

Like the previous bag post I did, I'm currently going through something right now. Maybe that is the factor. I'm currently hating everyone in the office at the moment because they moved me to the graveyard shift. Bitches! Anyway, feeling a little better thanks to my always positive best friend and this bag:

MICHAEL Michael Kors Jet Set Perforated Travel Tote

Made of saffiano leather with golden hardware, this bag comes in different colors. For the size, you can choose between small or medium. I carry a lot of stuff with me that keeps me secure so the medium sized one would be perfect.

Michaelkors.com sells the bag at $298, that would be around PhP 13,500. Sadly, it says that the item is not available. Thankfully, the bag is on sale at two of the most popular online deals website in the country.

You can purchase the bag at Cash Cash Pinoy for PhP 7,999, that's 56% off the original price. And PhP 7,599 at Metro Deal, that would be 58% savings.

Stay happy and healthy! ^^

Stand With Malala

Malala Yousafzai  is a Pakistani school pupil and education activist from the town of Mingora in the Swat District of Pakistan's Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province. Pakistani Taliban tried to assassinate her last October because of her strong voice in the fight for women’s rights and youth education.

Education is a fundamental human right. It equips us with skills that improve the quality of our lives. Skills such as reading and working with numbers as well as accurate information on health and science provide opportunities that would otherwise not exist. Unfortunately, due to social, cultural, and financial constraints, access to education is still restricted to some nations.

Across the globe, millions of children are deprived access to this basic right. A 2008 estimate states that more than half of these children are girls. In Afghanistan, Burkina Faso, Chad, Mali, Niger and Yemen girls typically go to school for less than a year. Four out of five women do not receive any form of education in Sub-Saharan Africa. While in Pakistan, a girl receives, on average, just two and a half years of education; for boys, it’s double.

These facts are devastating indeed and this devastation will painfully worsen if we do not work together in alleviating the situation in the developing world. For her 16th birthday, Malala wishes equitable education and youth empowerment. With our help, we can make it happen.

Let's join Malala's fight for youth education. Sign the letter of support to the UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-Moon at aworldatschool.org/malaladay today.

It's true that in this life, it is not always knowledge in math equations and material chemical composition that puts food in the table. Sometimes, its simply our life experiences that help us survive. But then again,  education opens more doors.

TOM DOES NOT TROLL

They said Tom is trolling the aliens when he posted a photo of cut hair in a sink: with a caption that says:

Tom: "Bill shaved his head..."

I have to admit, I was one of them. (Sorry Tom.) Knowing Tom and his funny bone, who would believe him? Especially with those hair looking more brunette than blonde. Bill, of course, was sporting a long blonde hair. But lo and behold! A day after this was posted, Bill Kaulitz and his new hair do!

Bill: ''I was neat, clean, shaved and sober and i didn't care who knew it''
- Raymond Chandler
I guess, there really is a serious side of the elder Kaulitz twin. haha. Or maybe he felt bad after seeing the comments, that nobody believed him. Whatever the reason behind, I'm lovin' it! You rock that clean, shaved head of yours, Bill!

Stay healthy and happy everyone! ^^

Tory Burch Ella Tote in Pink

I have a serious case of bag crush going on right now. I can't believe I just noticed its beauty. I'm currently in a sort of depress state and this bag just changed everything 360 degrees and put rainbows and stars all around me. ahahaha. Okay. Exaggerating here.

NYLON ELLA TOTE

ToryBurch.com  describes it as:

"...a perennial favorite and a stylish way to carry everything you need when you're on the go, from magazines to an iPad."

Just the bag I am looking for- big, stylish, and PINK!

But if you're one of those who adamantly hate pink, it comes in different colors and in mini versions as well.

The bag has been available for a while now so I think you can easily check it out in the nearest Tory Burch outlet you have in your location. Sadly for me, have to fly to the capital just to see it in person.

By the way, it's on sale at Cash Cash Pinoy at the moment From Ph 10,995 to Ph 4,399. If only I have the money for it...

Stay happy and healthy! ^^

Opps, They Did it Again!

Have you ever watched a trailer and told yourself, "I know that story!"? After minutes of pondering you realize it’s from some popular movie or series or whatever that was from starring one of your favorite actor/actress. I just had this moment.

Thank you, ABS-CBN / Star Cinema, for providing evidence that you truly did copy the storyline for “One More Try”. If you haven’t heard of this news, care to check the link:
‘One More Try’ trailer invites comparison to 2008 Chinese film

What I mean to say is how ABS-CBN has made another copycat out of their new drama series. In case you haven’t seen it, Judy Ann is back to her roots through the upcoming teleserye “Huwag Ka Lang Mawawala”

Remember that American drama thriller “Enough” with Jennifer Lopez as the lead character? They have the same storyline. Would have been perfect if they didn’t add the part where she trains to protect herself from the abusive husband. Because, let’s face it, that don’t happen in this country. We’re more of the suing nation fighting through words than those who stand up to protect our dignity by fighting through physical strength.  Or if it does, it isn’t common. Anyway, they could’ve improved on the story incorporating situations that can actually happen here. But as always, they chose the easy path to make money by producing something that they know would hit right off with the masses.

And with “One More Try, honestly, I think there’s actually no need to make a big fuss about it having the same plot as the Chinese movie if only the production team credited the latter movie or merely admitting to the public that it was an adaptation. However, they did nothing to clarify and ignored the controversy.

I just hope they don’t do the same thing with this new series. On the positive note, I’m looking forward to watching Juday back on TV. I must confess that her acting skills caught me here and is the only reason why I’d spend my precious time on it. And basing on the trailer, KC’s acting skills has greatly improved. Kudos to their acting workshop team! Admit it; her previous acting efforts were a waste of time. None of her dramas made an impression. The only reason it garnered much media attention is because of who she is and those… I’m not even going to continue! Ahaha. I want this to be positive for KC as I was really impressed by her short scene from the trailer. I’m really looking forward to watching more of her and the rest of the drama.

And to clarify things, I’m no fan of Judy Ann or KC or any local artist or Station. It’s pretty difficult to make me watch local dramas or movies as I find them too inferior, from storyline to casting. The local entertainment scene is such a cliché. The last Filipino commercial movie I spent my money on was way back in college and that was 5 years ago.  It was a Bea Alonzo movie. I think it was Sam Milby’s first movie and a part of it was shot right across our school, at Marco Polo Hotel Davao. Though I did watch “Ang Babae sa Septic Tank”, it was an indie film so it does not qualify for what I previously mean. And I watch Ina, Kapatid, Anak. You’re crazy if you didn’t notice the astounding acting of each of its stars.

Enough said.

Stay happy, healthy and safe everyone! Toodles! ^-^

Confusing Cool New Myspace

Logged in to Myspace today to play my favorite songs while working on a task when lo and behold I couldn't sign in. It's saying incorrect email or password when I just changed my password last December. I kept doing it a couple of times until I noticed "NEW MYSPACE" staring right at me. Dum dum. So, I created a new account using the same email I had before. I got in and got lost. It was so confusing. I couldn't find everything right away since the whole page doesn't fit my screen. I scrolled it and hello there horizontal scrolling. Felt weird doing it but it was cool. I just wished my monitor is touch screen. Would've made life easier.

Anyway, I haven't toured the new stuff they have but I find it cool already. Need some getting used to, though. I was able to play my music and that is just what I need.

Now back to work for me! Stay happy everyone! ^^

Grateful

While walking to the bus stop earlier, I saw a man on the side of the road picking up something. I didn’t mind him and thought to myself how inconvenient it would have been if there was traffic. Thankfully there wasn’t, the road was free of cars. Anyway, as I walked by his side I saw that he was trying to pick up spilled grains of rice. I took notice of his stuff and realized he was probably homeless or have much less than I have. :-(
Dear God, Today I woke up, in my bed, in our home. I had breakfast. I have my family. I have work. Thank you and I'm sorry.
Happy New Year, by the way! ^^ Let's make this year awesome!  *woot-woot*
