For 2011, the only thing I asked for was that I'll be able to land a job. Thankfully, January of last year I did get a job. I lasted for almost 11 months including the 2 months I spent training. The job was...bearable. It wasn't all fun. Jobs ain't supposed to be fun but working for that company was alright. There were times I felt like we are paid just to make conversations. Its nice to know that you are able to help out a customer as well as, if we don't have calls, sit around and chat with fellow technical support. The problem was with the people managing us. They definitely need some Management 101 classes. As well as some lesson in Business Etiquette.
Any way, if you are wondering what my job was... I was employed in a Business Process Outsourcing Company. They look for people who'll answer the Toll-free numbers you find in products. The account I handled was for an antivirus company. ( CLUE: The brand name is the last name of the dude who played HULK whose first name is Edward )
Here's a secret if you'd like to pay for only half the price for a whole year subscription. If you have just paid for a one year subscription of that antivirus, Call them up and ask for a refund. Pretend you don't like the product. The Support representative will make an offer. First they'll say they will add a few days or even 3 to 6 months of additional subscription on top of your 1 year just so you'll remain a customer. Say no and insist of a refund. They will again offer to refund half the money you paid for 1 year. With that, its already a good price. 50% off is a good deal. And if you get lucky, they will add days or months. That makes it 50% off for a 1 year subscription plus 30 - 90 days free on top of it. Just remember, don't be an ass while talking to the agent. ACT GOOD. If the support feels like your taking advantage of them being just a support representative, they'll agree on your request for a refund right away without retaining you. That ain't good at all.
Moving forward on my wish...
2012 will be my 25th year here on earth. I'm not gonna ask for a job again although I do need one. I already figured that one out. Tomorrow.. or better... later today, I'll be attending a job fair. Hope I can land one. So for this year, the only thing I wish is for me and 5 of my friends to go to either Singapore or Hongkong. I hope we can do it on the first half of this year for half the ticket price.

You see, here in the Philippines, airline companies offer promos for tickets. Just tonight, Cebu Pacific offered 1 Peso for all domestic and international flights. It doesn't include taxes and other charges. But its way cheaper!
A Normal ticket price for Hongkong is 6,000 pesos. On a 1 peso fare promo, a round trip tickt is only below 3,000 pesos. The problem is...tickets get sold out easily and the website bugs down. And I mean slow as snail, worst it won't process the requests. And, oh yeah, did I mention I don't have a credit card to pay for the tickets online? I have to rely on a friend who is asleep right now but promised to get us the tickets tomorrow night. So I hope you guys can pray for me and my friends. Promo will last this 22. I really do pray we can get round trip tickets. I will not ask for anything for now, just this and I'll be the happiest person on earth.
That is it for me. Thank you all so much for reading my blog. I have to go to bed now so I'll look decent for the job fair.
Love and Happiness to everyone! ^^
